Lily this was such a great comprehensive read. I’ve personally never understood the draw card of ‘dupe’ culture and think the affordability argument is a loop hole to enable copy cat brands to make a quick buck under the guise of helping consumers. Innovation and product development takes time. That consumers genuinely think MCo cares about their wallet vs profits is wild to me. As Razia says if affordability is the name of the game there are many masstige and affordable brands (eg Naturium) doing a great job of democratising the space without infringing on another brand’s hard work.
